I know in the past he's talked about quickbooks, but all I've heard is what a nightmare quickbooks is - including this post. Given that I have no employees and am extremely unlikely to make a profit anytime soon, what should I be doing as far as tracking things that an accountant will require next tax season? I have an actual accountant to talk to, but I want to hear y'alls experience before I call him up. I've only ever purchased anything for the business (ingredients, marketing materials, etc) using my business credit cards that I pay off monthly with my business bank account. The first thing I ever did was create an LLC, then I got bank account, then I got business credit cards. So I'll be using a square POS for the short term as well as cash.
